Dr. Muriel Jacquot is an expert in sensory interactions, specializing in their understanding and modeling through advanced neuroscience and cognitive science methodologies, enriched by a robust data science framework.
As a Doctor from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine and an Associate Professor HDR at ENSAIA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires), University of Lorraine, Dr. Jacquot has dedicated over a decade to pioneering research in this fascinating field. In 2014, she founded MYRISSI, the world's inaugural company to develop an AI-based sensory translator that seamlessly transforms fragrances and aromas into colors and emotions, and vice versa. This groundbreaking innovation caught the attention of Givaudan, a global leader in fragrances and flavors, leading to its acquisition of MYRISSI in 2021 to leverage the emotional resonance of fragrances. After serving as the Neuroscience Development Manager at Givaudan, Dr. Jacquot returned to the University of Lorraine in 2024, where she continues her impactful research and serves as a scientific consultant for Givaudan.
